Summary[]
Oblina, overstudying for an upcoming exam, sneezes her brain out of her head. While the brain has the time of its life in the city, inside a gorilla, Ickis and Krumm must take Oblina's body and find the brain.
Plot[]
While Ickis and Krumm are playing around in their dorm, Oblina is studying and chides her two friends for making her lose her concentration. Ickis tells her that her brain will fry due to studying too hard. Oblina denies this and sends her friends out of the dorm. But she soon learns that Ickis was right when two nights later, her brain literally ends up frying and she ends up sneezing it out. The brain escapes and Oblina suddenly feels dull. Ickis and Krumm enter the dorm and puts Oblina to rest. Ickis then smells something and asks Krumm about this, who responds by saying that it's just him as the two go to sleep, oblivious to the brain hopping through the dump and to the city streets. Ickis and Krumm wake up to find a dull-minded Oblina bumping constantly against the wall.
Things gets worse when during class at the Monster Academy the next day, the Gromble offers Oblina to the viewfinder to show everyone her scare, which shows the words "This space for rent" on the video screen. The Gromble examines Oblina and discovers that her brain is not inside her head, much to his horror.
Later, Ickis and Krumm bring Oblina along and run outside to the city streets on search for Oblina's brain, which goes to a carnival, a club named "The Rocket Inn", and a baseball game. As they search through the city, Oblina's brain comes to a toy store and spots a visible brain through the window inside the Toy World shop. The brain is mistaken as a toy by the clerk, who hands it to a couple of customers. Before selling it, the brain comes to life and hops around the store, scaring everyone out of the shop, catching Ickis and Krumm's attention as they make their way to the toy shop. Little do they know, the clerk attempts to call Dr. Sy Napse, the brain king, to take care of the live brain. Ickis and Krumm find Oblina's brain and chase after it. But Dr. Sy Napse arrives at the toy shop and captures the brain. He takes it to his van and drives away. Ickis and Krumm are able to locate the mad scientist's location via phone book and take Oblina with them to sneak into Dr. Sy Napse's laboratory at his big house. They come across a gorilla, who speaks in Oblina's voice coherently. It is revealed that the mad scientist has put Oblina's brain inside the gorilla, something Oblina learns only later. She orders her two friends to get her out of the cage and Krumm decides to have her sneeze out the brain from the gorilla's head. He slides through the floor, evoking smoke, which goes into the gorilla's nose, causing it to sneeze the brain out. The brain continues to hop around the lab and Ickis and Krumm chase after it, succeeding in catching it. Dr. Sy Napse then comes in to find that his gorilla named Priscilla is looking dull-minded. Ickis and Krumm successfully put Oblina's brain into her body and encounter Dr. Sy Napse, who scare him as he runs away, only to get grabbed by the gorilla. Oblina thanks her friends for getting her brain back and Ickis and Krumm tells her that she should have a little fun, for life isn't always about studying.
The next day, at the Monster Academy, Oblina tells her friends how vital studying is, which Ickis asks Krumm if it is too late to take her brain out again, though Oblina was careful afterwards to never overstudy again.
Back at Dr. Sy Napse's house, the scientist is being cuddled by the gorilla, much to his annoyance.
